Open press: also known as punch, the most widely used. Open presses are mostly vertical. Closed press: the fuselage is frame shape, the fuselage is open before and after, good rigidity, high precision, large size of the worktable, suitable for pressing large parts, the nominal working force is mostly 1600~60000 kn. Heavy presses such as cold extrusion, hot die forging and double acting deep drawing use closed fuselage.
